Marcelo Rosciano from Brazil, born listening to Samba beat from Samba schools that used to rehearsal in his neighbourhood.
He has been part of the official Carnval parade in Brazil for many years playing drums with the traditional Brazilian Samba School Aguia de Ouro (SP), also he has been part of MONOBLOCO Group and had the pleasure to studied with the masters: C.A. Ferrari, Junior Texeira (from Mangueira Samba School) Maestro Celso Alvin and Mestre Juca (from Aguia de Ouro).
He took part in the intensive course of music education at the Brazilian Music Conservatory approaching to the method O Passo (The Step) with Master Lucas Ciavatta creator of the method. Studied with professor and professional musician Ari Colares specialized in Afro-Brazilian percussion and attended to rehearsals of Academicos da Rocinha (RJ) with Master Maurão. He is also one of the founders of the first Brazilian Band in QLD Australia.
In Australia since 2001 he has been playing with several different bands and venues along his career such as Brisbane Power House with his group Afrobeat Brazilian Carnival Band, the first authentic Brazilian band part of Queensland Music Festival (2011) where he taught a drumming workshop for 40 people with no experience empowering the group to make a performance on stage playing a Beatles song with a professional singer and guitarist, also was part of the official entertainment for the G20 in Brisbane (2014), performed at Brisbane Jazz Club, Cloudland, Conrad Jupiter’s, Marriott, Sheraton, Twin Towns, Brisbane State Library, Warwick Jazz Festival, Toowoomba Empire Theatre and much more!
